Tumaini is a Swahili word meaning “hope.” Tumaini Counselling Centres’ mission is to provide preventative and restorative mental health services in order to enhance missionary resilience and fruitfulness.
Our approach
Tumaini Counselling Centre is a specialized mental health collective dedicated to supporting missionaries in Africa. Recognizing the unique challenges faced by those serving in diverse and often demanding environments, we offer professional counselling and psychiatric services tailored to the needs of individuals and families involved in missionary work.
Providing you with a safe space to heal
In person appointments will take place in our soothing office environment with fully private rooms, complimentary tea and water, and individualized care.
Virtual appointments are held on a secure platform in a confidential manner.
In-person and remote options
Our counselling centres are strategically situated in the Karen area of, Nairobi, Kenya, and Kampala, Uganda. Should you be unable to visit us in person, we offer virtual services to ensure you have access to our support from anywhere.
