Tumaini Kampala opened in March 2016 as the second counseling service provided by Africa Inland Mission, following 25 years of service in Nairobi. Located in Kampala, Uganda, this center offers confidential clinical services to Christian missionaries working across Africa. These services range from clinical care to helping missionaries navigate the challenges and frustrations of missionary life.

How to Arrange an Appointment

Individuals seeking to initiate services should email clinicalasst.ac@aimint.org, while general inquiries can be sent to tumaini.ac@aimint.org.

To request an appointment at Tumaini Kampala, please call or email. Our clinical assistant will gather basic information and forward your request to our counselors, who typically respond within two working days.

If you are traveling to Kampala specifically for counseling, please coordinate with us before making travel arrangements. This ensures we have availability during your visit and that you plan for enough time to receive the necessary care. A few days may suffice for a simple evaluation, but addressing deeper issues may require a stay of 2–3 weeks, or longer for more complex or long-standing concerns. After an initial in-person visit, we may be able to continue supporting you through online sessions.
