Ingrid is a broadly experienced specialist in adult psychiatry. She joined the Tumaini team January 2023 and has received her Kenya medical license. She works as a volunteer on Mondays and Tuesdays with the Tumaini team and provides online psychiatric evaluations and treatment and medication follow-ups. Her volunteering at Tumaini is through the Swedish Evangelical Mission.

She lives with husband and their 3 children in Sweden. She currently works in a public health care team attending to diagnostics and treatment for people suffering from neurodevelopmental disorders.

In addition to Medicine and Psychiatry, Ingrid has studied theology and is familiar with several of the Church´s different traditions of spiritual direction. Through relationships with her chaplain husband, close friends and extended network serving in ministry and missions both in home countries and cross culturally in Scandinavia, the US and Africa, she is aware of and sensitized to the contexts, reasons for, and situations wherein psychological and psychiatric help may be both needed and beneficial to people living their lives in such circumstances.
