Christian Psychology (IACP), Psychotherapy (HPG)

I first came out as a missionary nurse to Uganda in 2000 before joining the AIM Care team as a Chr. Psychologist in 2008. I had the privilege to open the AIM Care Kampala office in 2016 and  have served on the clinical team leadership for a decade. I enjoy walking alongside people from different nations and I am passionate about seeing them grow into their God-given potential. Additionally, I am involved in staff care and orientation of new medical personnel from my sending organisation (GMMT). I rejuvenate by outdoor activities, laughter and cooking together.

I am specialized in areas of trauma recovery, grief and loss, stress management, transition and identity questions. I enjoy meeting with teenagers, adults, couples and leaders who are in cross-cultural settings to create a safe space for them to tell their stories. My counselling approach is person-centred and integrative, and I am looking for the Holy spirit to lead as I might draw from my trainings in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and spiritual guidance.

My desire is to care for people holistically, to encourage, equip and empower them, so that they can thrive in their places of life and work.

I believe that counselling is best done in-person and I enjoy being with the people wherever they are though I am available virtually as well. I am English and German speaking.
