Counselling at Tumaini Kampala

Tumaini Kampala – our Counselling Centre in Uganda

Tumaini Kampala opened its doors for counselling in March 2016.  After 25 years of service in Nairobi, Kampala is the location of the second counselling service where Africa Inland Mission offers support to missionaries.

Tumaini Counselling Service in Kampala, Uganda, offers confidential clinical services which are available to any Christian missionary working in Africa. These range from clinical care to simply helping missionaries normalise the challenges and frustrations of missionary life.

How to arrange an appointment

Existing clients can contact their counsellor directly through email, or via clinicalasst.ac@aimint.org for Nairobi, or tumaini.kampala.ac@aimint.org for Kampala.  Individuals interested in initiating services should send an email to clinicalasst.ac@aimint.org .  Other questions can be directed to tumaini.ac@aimint.org .

Please note that resources are being added to our Resource Blog under a new category called Pandemic.  These can be found at https://tumainicounselling.net/category/pandemic/ .

To request an appointment at Tumaini Kampala, please call or e-mail.  Our clinical assistant will take down basic information and then pass your request to our counsellors, who will get back to you as soon as possible, usually within 2 working days.

If you are coming to Kampala specially to be seen at Tumaini, please liaise with us before arranging your travel.  This is both so that we can ensure we have availability during your visit, but also so that you arrange to be here long enough to gain the help you require.  Attending for a few days may be sufficient for a simple evaluation, but if you want to address an issue then you being available for 2 or 3 weeks is likely to be necessary – and probably longer if the matter is serious or of long-standing.  After this, it may be feasible for us to continue offering support via the internet.
